Thank you everyone for your patience. This is the last stages of production and tonight here is an update on the instruction booklet. This was in production already but was revamped last minute to make it more in depth. Cover to cover it's now 24 pages. Below is a sneak peak.
Hello everyone. I know it's been a little while since our last update and we apologize for the silence. But please be assured that we have been working hard to create all of our elements for our kickstarter campaign at the highest quality. But unfortunately, due to covid, it's been difficult obtaining some of the materials that go into making these sets, and a lot of materials were just not available over this past year. And there were also many shipping delays domestically and internationally to receive said materials. But we feel that we are over these hurdles now that a lot of manufacturers and companies are opening back up and are able to offer supplies.
Thankfully, most of these materials are now becoming obtainable again.
That being said, we are happy to announce that the majority of the core boards are finished! We are super happy with the way they have turned out and only have a few left to construct.
And secondly, we've seen our first few samples of the Bloody Mary's Mirror. We are happy with the ways these are looking, but still tweaking the final product. Overall it's a great quality and feels very nice in hand. The image below shows the front and back of the handheld mirror.
We hope to update you more frequently as we get closer to fulfilling our pledges and reaching ship time.

Good evening everyone. First on tonight's update is the core set shipper boxes have arrived and they look great. As we mentioned, when we show an item in the Kickstarter campaign, it is just a concept and we have the opportunity to improve upon it and we feel that is the case here.
Also, The booklet is going into production and essentially doubling in size from the previous version. A heavier cover stock is also being applied in production.
And last for today, we had a backer ask when production is starting. It's a great question and the long and short of it is we will need to go into February and hopefully not too much further if necessary. As you know most of our items are hand crafted and even at that, some of our source materials have been scarce during the pandemic. And in other cases with items we need to source and embellish, suppliers have been short staffed again because of the pandemic.
Rest assured we are working day and night to get this done and have the majority of items in house and being built. We ask that you hang in there with us and we hope we will exceed your expectations. Stay safe everyone
At the time of this writing, the sun will just have fallen in Whitechapel, England. How many years ago, The Ripper at this time would prepare to walk the streets at night, stalking his next victim.
The Ripper is one of the Bound Spirits in the KILL OR BE KILLED expansion pack. It comes with The Ripper tintype, a coin used to contact him in the spirit interview, and a period correct straight blade like the one he used in his nightly escapades.
We researched his identity for years. Sometimes results come with that perseverance and sometimes you get lucky. At the end of a long day, when you stumble upon an old camera repair shop and listen to the owner tell the story you've been waiting to hear. How their great grandfather photographed a peculiar yet well to do man who insisted on posing with his bloodied straight razor. Everything added up. We found him.
Good evening everyone. We hope you are all staying safe and warm on this cold winter evening. As we have said many times before, we try to make all the components of our Spiritus Colloquium Kickstarter as authentic as possible and often start with authentic period correct artifacts.
In the instance of the Artifacts set, we are using the actual wooden toys from The Toy Maker, the focal point of our story. The straight edge blades from The Ripper are also true to the time and location of the actual events. And even the swatch of Hazel Triggs' dress used in the Witch Bottle is from the mid to late 1800s.
In other cases, we take these artifacts and recreate them for you and incorporate them into the "game". We have received production samples of the Coins of Safe Passage and we think they look great. These include Latin incantations to speak as you place them on the board. The graphics on the coin are from Memento Mori etchings from centuries ago.
And we have finalized art for the core set shipper box. This mimics an old steamer style trunk with the Spiritus logo. We are planning on adding a seal as well. If you choose to break it, you take full responsibility for anything that happens during the interview!
